Loss Prevention Training
Per (GRTB), shop lifting and theft of retail store inventory costs US merchants an estimated loss of $42 billion USD from 2013–2014. Retail Loss Prevention is the leading occupation that is responsible for reducing inventory losses inside of retail stores. Employers are aware of that fact, which makes loss prevention a highly sort after qualification. As a loss prevention professional, you will be tasked with monitoring instore security equipment, and managing the programs set in place to reduce inventory loss due to shoplifting, fraud, and employee theft.
The wage for an entry level loss prevention officer in south Florida is approximately $15.30 hourly. A dedicated loss prevention professional could eventually grow into a loss prevention director position with an estimated yearly salary of $70,000 – $80,000 in the current market.
